Spider-Man is one of the most popular fictional super-heroes on the planet. Spider-Man was created at Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Making his first appearance in the 1960's, The Spider-Man series broke ground by featuring Peter Parker, the high school student behind Spider-Man's secret identity and with whose "self-obsessions with rejection, and loneliness" that most young teenagers could relate to. Since then, Spider Man himself has been very popular, along with the rest Bitstrips Community.

Spider-Man has been seen much on Bitstrips, from simple and well made art, to attempting full-on series based around the character and his universe. The sheer amount of Spider-Man related content on Bitstrips began to get overwhelming and generic, soon becoming a short-used meme on the site. For example, "Yet another Spider-Man series nobody cares about."
